Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (January 16) will visit Parasamudram in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathyasai district to inaugurate the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) Institute.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon to take part in scheduled programmes. The Prime Minister will perform puja and darshan at the Virbhadra temple in Lepakshi village in Sri Sathyasai district and listen to Ranganatha Ramayan poetry in Telugu.
PM Modi is visiting Lepakshi, which holds a special place in the Ramayana, just six days before the grand Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
The visit to Lepakshi came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kalaram temple in Nashik. A few days ago, Prime Minister Modi visited Panchvati, located on the banks of the Godavari river in Nashik. He offered prayers at Kala Ram Mandir and heard verses related to Lord Ram’s ‘Ayodhya Agman’ from Ramayan in Marathi.

Around 3:30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Parasamudram to inaugurate the new campus of the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN). After his inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister will visit the ground floor of NACIN and tour the Antiques Smuggling Center, Drug Research Center and Wildlife Crime Detection Center.
PM Modi will then visit the ground floor to inspect the X-ray and baggage screening centre, and then visit the academic block to plant saplings and interact with construction workers.
The Prime Minister will also present the certificate of accreditation to NACIN and deliver a speech.
The Prime Minister will also interact with the 74th and 75th trainee officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) and trainees of the Royal Civil Service of Bhutan. He is also planning to publish a book titled ‘Flora of Palasamudram’.
About the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics (NACIN)
In a step towards realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of improving governance through civil service capacity building, a new state-of-the-art campus of the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) has been built at Parasamudram in Sri Sathya Sai district. I did. Andhra Pradesh was conceptualized and built. Spread over 500 acres, the academy is the apex institution of the Government of India for capacity building in the areas of indirect taxes (Customs Duty, Central Excise, Goods and Services Tax) and Narcotics Control Bureau. This national-level, world-class training institute provides training to Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) officers, as well as Central Union agencies, state governments and partner countries.
With the addition of this new campus, NACIN will focus on leveraging new-age technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies for training and development.
