Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Hospital: Providing Quality Healthcare to the Underprivileged

Chandigarh Voices: A group of caring and compassionate people from Chandigarh have come together to set up a world-class hospital with an aim to provide quality treatment to the underprivileged and economically weaker sections of society. Named Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva, the hospital is located in Kurari village, Mohali.

Speaking to Voice of Chandigarh, Satish Garg, founder and chairman, Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva, said that to achieve its noble objective, the group will set up a registered trust to oversee the running and management of the hospital. The hospital will have state-of-the-art facilities and will boast of 52 beds. One of the key features of the hospital will be the provision of palliative care to post-operative patients and after oncological surgery. Such specialised care is not available in the region and will be of great benefit to the poor and underprivileged sections of the society.

The hospital also aims to provide door-to-door medical services to 30 villages, including healthcare for women and children. The hospital has a fully equipped mobile hospital van that provides eye and dental treatment. Experts say eye and dental diseases are often the beginning of illnesses in the human body. This initiative helps in early detection and treatment of various diseases, leading to improved health status for the entire community.

Further, the hospital will have an in-house skill training institute to provide training and skill development opportunities to local youth, thereby generating employment opportunities in the local area. Overall, Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Hospital is a visionary initiative that will have a far-reaching impact on the lives of the underprivileged in the region.
