how much: In a shocking case of sexual assault, a teacher has allegedly raped a student multiple times in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh, which came to light after the girl gave birth to a child, according to officials. The incident was reported from Kadiri constituency in Sri Sathya Sai district.
According to sources, the 16-year-old victim, a student in Class 10 at a government high school, had gone to the staff room to get some water nine months ago. The accused teacher, Reddy Nagaya, saw her alone in the staff room and made sexual advances to her. The girl said she was shocked when the teacher threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

Over the next few days, the teacher raped the students multiple times, leaving her pregnant, the victim said. On Saturday, the girl’s family took her to the local government hospital after she developed stomach pains. To the family’s great surprise, she gave birth to a boy there, officials said. As the victim’s blood level was low, doctors recommended she be taken to Kadiri Regional Hospital.
SI Rajasekhar learned about the matter through the police station when the girl was taken to Anantapur Government Hospital for treatment on medical advice. Following a complaint from the girl’s family, the teacher has been detained and is being interrogated in the case. Kadiri DSP Srilatha revealed the details after visiting the girl at Anantapur Hospital.
On the complaint of the girl’s mother, a case was filed against the accused under Sections 376 and 506 of the POCSO Act.
