Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar paid a moving tribute to late spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba on his 96th birth anniversary. The GOAT of cricket wrote an emotional post on Twitter for his late guru. The icon summarises the five principles that the guru espoused: truthfulness, purity of intention and action, pacifism, love for God and all living beings, and non-violence. These principles are considered so dear to the Indian psyche that they resonated with so many that the guru achieved cult status during his lifetime.

But some were not so forgiving. One user criticized him for saying nothing about the millions killed and displaced in the Gaza bombing. “Aren’t you ashamed to speak about human values? You are an ambassador for @UNICEF and you haven’t said a single word about the people of Gaza or innocent children,” the user wrote.
